A 3-year socio-economic study of HIV/AIDS patients admitted to hospitals in and around the City of Tshwane
To determine the socio-economic and demographic characteristics of HIV-positive patients admitted to hospitals and clinics in and around the City of Tshwane.
To assess the degree of adherence of health facilities to the Monitoring and Evaluation Framework issued in May 2004 by the National Department of Health
To estimate the proportion of HIV-positive patients in and around the City of Tshwane whose medical aid companies pay for their treatment.
• To assess the degree of satisfaction of HIV-positive patients admitted to hospitals and clinics on services provided to them by the various health facilities.
