Quality of life in a retirement village for active senior citizens
The need for the implementation of different kinds of activity programmes and meeting the most needs in retirement villages, sometimes at substantial cost to management and/or residents is a question many programme directors are currently discussing. This survey looked at the different needs like attitude, morale, satisfaction with life, availability of support systems, life review and spirituality, independent living in future, general activities, facilities, security, and services needed by residents. In this setting where residents are still active and independent most of them are able to fulfil their own needs and the results of the survey showed that planning for future problems in daily living was an important aspect
