Impact of Multidrug Resistance (MDR) modulators in chemotherapy using Xenographed models of lung tumours

MDR describes the ability of tumour cells to exhibit simultaneously resistance to a number of structurally and functionally unrelated therapeutic agents, a major obstacle to successful treatment of malignancies. It involves the overexpression of certain membrane glycoprotein. New MDR modulators can overcome this problem. Such modulators will be developed and Nuclear Medicine Techniques used to provide in vivo funtional information of these proteins
