The medico-legal investigation of abandoned babies, abortuses and other products of conception.
A retrospective study on the medico-legal investigation of abandoned baies, abortuses and other products of conception, admitted over a five year period to the Pretoria Medico Legal Laboratory. Current legislation/statutes provides no clear guideline or protocol pertaining to these cases. The aim is to evaluate the scope and nature of this problem and to assess current methods of investigation.
