Tobacco Products regulation and regional capacity-building on tobacco conrol research
Anti-tobacco campaigns in the sub-Saharan African region have focussed almost exclusively on cigarettes neglecting other traditional nicotine delivery vehicles and the limited capacity for policy-relevant research. We have prioritized training African in documenting the burden of all forms of tobacco use and the development of appropriate policy responses within the WHO's framework convention on tobacco control.
