The value of MPV in establishing the cause of thrombocytopenia
To examine the relation between mean platelet volume (MPV) and the cause of thrombocytopenia. Hypothesis: High MPV values predict hyperdestructive thrombocytopenia, while low or normal MPV values are associated with hypoproductive thrombocytopenia.
