Glycated haemoglobin in the diagnosis and management of abnormal glucose metabolism and assessment of glycation rate in vitro
Diabetic micro- and macrovascular complications are postulated to reslut from the chronic non-enzymatic glycation of tissue proteins. Aim: to determine whether glycation rate of haemoglobin diffirs between individual (non-diabetic and diabetic) and to optimize the method for its measurement in vitro & to corolate glycation rate with glycation index and ultimately to predict development of complications of chronic hyperglycaemia
