The correlation between DNA ploidy, S-phase fraction, immunophenotyping and clinical outcome in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL)
Lymphoblasts lack specific morphological or cytochemical features, which leads to great reliance on immunophenotyping in order to make a definitive diagnosis. The aim of this study is to investigate the correlation between immunophenotyping, DNA ploidy, s-phase fraction and clinical outcome in patients with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. The project has practical significance as both the immunophenotyping and the DNA ploidy have been shown to have prognostic implications in childhood (ALL)
