The duration of effect of a single analgesic dose (600mg) of aspirin on platelet function in a healthy adult subject

On being recruited, 10ml of blood will be drawn from the subject for baseline aggregometry. The subject will be given two 300mg (I.e. a total of 600mg) aspirin tablets to be taken at an appointed time. Ten ml of blood will then be drawn on days 0, 1, 2, 4, 7 and 10 (I.e. a total of 60ml blood for platelet aggregometry studies.
