Health Information Systems

This focus area brings together the fields of Informatics and Public Health / Health Management and explores how modern Information and Communication Technology may be best adapted and used in developing the health sector. Some of the research areas include: the social/human aspects of IS design, the linkage of the health system with IS, the complexity, management and use of HIS, contextual approaches to design and current communication, telecommunication, standards and law in the health sector.
