has survived mass extinctions such as the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event that led to the demise of 75% of life on Earth, as well as the Hiroshima bombing during World War II, making the characteristic fan-shaped Ginkgo leaf a symbol of longevity, endurance and profound resilience.
